Why people believe weird things {AUDIO}

Posted by Jordan, 04 Jun

We all have our beliefs. Chances are at some point in your life you have believed in things that you can’t really explain logically. Whether it's religion, conspiracy theories, or unquestioning adherence to a political party, we’re all susceptible to blind belief in something. It happens even to the smartest of us.

Joining us today in this podcast is Michael Shermer, founder of Skeptic magazine and a number of books on the nature of belief to discuss why people are hard-wired to believe weird things. Shermer is also the Director of The Skeptics Society, a non-profit dedicated to the promotion of science, reason, and critical thinking.
